Right from the start, Mitiku made it clear to us that he wanted to go back to his aunt’s if she would have him. his mother has passed away and his father, although alive isn’t in a position to take care of him. the only family he knows and the only place he’s called home were his aunt and her house. Unfortunately, his aunt wasn’t too happy with taking back Mitiku into her home. The sub-city’s Women & Children’s Affair Office had to intervene because she first refused to take him in. Mitiku’s stay at the Emmanuel House has thought him a lot. He has learned a skill or two and has improved his behavior noticeably. We hope his change will soften his aunt’s heart and his stay with the family will be pleasant.
